We are often asked, "Why fundraise? I paid my registration fee and that covers the cost." In an ideal world it would...but then your registration fee would be a LOT higher! On average it takes about $140,000 to operate Snider Park for a year, and that figure relies on volunteers to do all the heavy lifting. Thanks to the concession stand income, grants, donations, sponorships, etc. NKLL is able to cover the gap between what we receive in registration fees and the actual cost of operations.
We are asking you to help us fundraise this year to help with additional projects around the park that are not in the operating budget. We would love to install lights on A field and the Lindley Smith 90' Field, install a new back stop on C Field, build a score-booth on D Field and other improvements that cost money and take time that simply cannot be funded on the limited budget that NKLL has to operate with. By simply donating to a specific player ($10, $25, etc.) she/he will become eligible to win prizes as part of our fundraiser, you will also know that you helped make a difference in the lives of countless other children who play ball, or will play ball, here at Snider Park.
For over 60 years NKLL has existed to serve the children and families in our area, we rely on donors and volunteers to keep us running and to serve another 60 years worth of families.
Thank you,
NKLL Board, Players and Families
